As Mars watched the older man sit across from them they couldnt help but smirk as it looked like Rayne was almost falling asleep while he sat there. He yawned as he looked at his empty cup and Mars smiled and nodded when he stated he was going to get another drink. It seemed like he could probably use a little more something to keep him awake. Mars pulled out their phone to see if they had anything they were forgetting to do. They supposed that perhaps they should pick up some groceries on their way back to their dorm, but other than that they didn't have anything to do.
They stuffed their phone back in their pocket as Rayne returned to the table with his drink in hand. They asked him about travel once again and it seemed that he had been to and lived in a few different places. Born in Japan, traveling, living in France, and then moving here. It was quite the life. Mars wondered if they would get to have that type of life in their own time. They supposed that it was possible, but the idea of leaving the island almost made them sad. Mars was born here and despite their desire to travel they would never be able to shake their attachment to the place. "That's so cool! It must have been very interesting to get to see all those different places and live in so many different areas." Mars stated and grinned.If Rayne was bragging then Mars didn't mind. They quite enjoyed listening to the pink haired man talk, about his family and his experiences.
It did seem that perhaps they might be getting him to talk about his family a bit to much, because there was a sinking feeling in Mars' gut that they just couldn't shake no matter how much they told theirself that it didn't bother them. However as Rayne appologized Mars just started shaking their head. "Oh no, no, no. I really do enjoy hearing you talk. So no worries! It's interesting to hear about somebody else's life, expecially when it's so different from my own! If you end up getting too annoying for me I'll be sure to change the subject." They stated and giggled mischievously. They really didn't think Rayne was annoying, but they couldn't help but tease him a little.
Mars cocked their head slightly as they looked at Rayne's hair. "How'd you get your hair like that? It's really pretty." They stated and ran their fingers through their own hair, pushing their bangs back and out of their face. Their eyepatch was more visible now, but they had never really made a string attempt to hide it, it was just that their hair usually fell over it without them meaning for it to happen. They often wished their hair was more interesting than just blonde, but they had never really ended up dying it.
