Welcome to the supernatural creature's haven, Kinau. Kinau is a fictitious town on the O'ahu island of Hawaii. Why supernaturals have congregated in the island city is still unknown, but the inhabitants, human and supernatural alike, are learning to adjust to their new reality.
This site aims for a supernatural spin on a slice-of-life city, complete with an academy and college to ensure everyone has a place here.
Events
the valentines dance is open to all. staff will post a starting thread and you can post an entry or make a thread of your own. the dance will take place near the beach. its all outdoors with the dance floor being in large pavilion.
for those that show up without a date. fret not. we have a little sign up sheet for blind dates.
if you don't want your character to participate in the blind date, don't worry they can still be part of the dance.
apart from the dance there will be food/drinks and of course access to the beach.

Mikoni is the student body president for Kala Academy. He's also that a.d.h.d. kid who gets the late night, technology-related 'can you fix this?' visits from his classmates.

[break] [break][break] When Ren was born he was actually a twin, granted he was the older of the two so he was born ten minutes before his brother. Once his mother had been released from the hospital, his mother and father took the two newborn's home and was happy and loved the two boys. However, it wasn't but a few months after they were born that their parents had started fighting. The two decided to separate and go their own ways. [break][break] living with his dad was hard at times the two were always moving from place to place doing what they had too to make it, Ren wasn't close to his father as one should be, the two always fought and were at one another's throat from an early age but they loved one another. They only had each other after all, shortly after arriving in Hoenn the two end up settling down, ren's father remarried and Ren found himself with a brother![break][break] Getting along great with the blonde, Ren couldn't adore him more if he wanted, the only thing was, Ren realized early on he didn't consider the boy as a brother, no he liked him as something more. Distracting himself from the thoughts he joined the team rocket as a way to occupy his mind. the only bad thing was, Ren, found himself traveling around with Hagen more than his actual 'job' finding Hagen more interesting than anything around him.

[break] [break][break] Yoshi grew up most of his life with his brother alone, their parents were always busy working and didn't have much time for the twins. Yet, Yoshirou was always the first to step up to spend all his free time with his brother, even though emrys was the braver and adventurous of the two. When the twins got older, they started to spend their time apart from one another, emrys was always the people person, the people pleaser, while Yoshirou was more to himself. [break][break]
Yoshirou would always play with his pokemon, read his books, isolate himself learning about first aid, medical knowledge just because how wild his brother was, he wanted to be the one he went to when he needed someone to treat and take care of Emrys. While it may appear the twins grew apart that wasn't true, still to this day emrys and Yoshirou is as close as they can be, even if their lives don't match up, sync with one another.[break][break]
While Emrys is out in the world, signing and performing his music on stage, Yoshirou is wandering around from place to place just exploring the world a bit with his new friend, with a beautiful little blonde that seems to acknowledge and like him. While the two seem just as different as emrys and himself, Yoshirou finds himself connecting and enjoying himself a little more when he is around Oberon.
