The twins Cara and Mia are very friendly towards other people; they can easily get along with people but can still be guarded towards those they consider very suspicious. They are quite loyal to those whom they have grown close to and are very protective. This can get to the point wherein they can get quite possessive and can turn violent once they know that this person gets hurt in any way.

It should be noted that they are a pair of kleptomaniacs who cannot resist the urge to steal when they find something that catches their eye. While this may be the case, if ever they are caught, they seem to be regretful of their actions. They will stop for a few days and will be back to nicking items from under the noses of people. These kids are two tortured souls that went through abuse during their early years, masking their pain with their smiles and cheerful nature.

Born from the union of two European dragons, Cara and Mia have always been sheltered during their early years. Their parents were overprotective of the twins because of what they were and what they are capable of. Cara, the older of the twins, is a black dragon capable of poisoning anyone and anything with the venom she secretes while Mia, the younger twin, is a pink dragon blessed with the ability to heal herself and others. While dragons were seen as evil in their region, people were more than willing to risk their lives to capture a pair of rare dragons to use to their advantage.

Being unable to go into human forms because of how young they still were, their parents were constantly trying to move around to hide from hunters until they were cornered in one town. The twins bore witness to how their parents were murdered right in front of them before they were captured. Cara and Mia were fortunately not separated from each other, their handlers discovering that they have the ability to communicate with each other telepathically and feel what the other twin felt. They were handed over to another dragon who taught them to shift into their human forms while being trained how to commit crimes, specifically robbery.

Cara and Mia were hesitant at first, know that it was wrong. As a way to make them work, Mia would be taken in a separate room to be beaten up and sexually abused (since she was able to heal herself easily), while Cara suffers feeling the pain and anguish of her sibling. This would go on for days until Cara was unable to bear it anymore; she decided for them both and agreed to work for these people. Abusing the dragons’ tendency to hoard, the twins’ handlers exposed them to shiny items like gold and gems before setting them loose to steal from various establishments.

At first, the twins were impossible to catch but their robbing streak was halted when they were trapped by the authorities. Looking at it from another angle, the twins were glad to be caught since they will be saved from their abusive handlers. They were taken to an orphanage for supernaturals for the meantime until they were picked up from there by their grandparents from their father’s side.

They were flown in to Hawaii wherein a haven for creatures like them was being built. During these moments, they were able to recuperate and seemingly forget their past. Cara and Mia were now under the watchful eye of another dragon guardian assigned by their grandparents and have been receiving proper education at Kala Academy.

◊ During the time they were thieves, Cara and Mia have been collectively called “Gemini”
◊ The twins are able to communicate with each other telepathically and feel each other’s pain. If one twin is hurt, the other will feel it as well.
◊ Both girls prefer to wear hoodies with long sleeves which showcase the color of their scales. If they were feeling mischievous, they would switch their clothes to trick other people.
◊ Cara and Mia have heterochromia, having mismatched eyes that are the mirror image of the other.
◊ They are fond of ‘collecting’ anything that looks shiny. They are also avid collectors of books about fairy tales.
◊ After being taken all over Europe, the twins have become very fluent in Italian and French. They managed to learn English but they still have their accents.
◊ Mess with one twin and you’ll be messing with both.
◊ Their names, when put together, means “My Beloved”.
