Welcome to the supernatural creature's haven, Kinau. Kinau is a fictitious town on the O'ahu island of Hawaii. Why supernaturals have congregated in the island city is still unknown, but the inhabitants, human and supernatural alike, are learning to adjust to their new reality.
This site aims for a supernatural spin on a slice-of-life city, complete with an academy and college to ensure everyone has a place here.
Events
the valentines dance is open to all. staff will post a starting thread and you can post an entry or make a thread of your own. the dance will take place near the beach. its all outdoors with the dance floor being in large pavilion.
for those that show up without a date. fret not. we have a little sign up sheet for blind dates.
if you don't want your character to participate in the blind date, don't worry they can still be part of the dance.
apart from the dance there will be food/drinks and of course access to the beach.

Enjoying the free time~
THESE WORDS ARE MY OWN THEY'RE FROM MY HEART FLOW
She had been really busy lately. From moving out to Hawaii to go to school, getting everything set up, moving in, and getting caught up on work. It had been a pretty long month. Way too much stuff too do and going on. Finally when she had some time the dog demon got to sit down and call her parents. Her mother she was sure was on pins and needles to hear from her. When she got to talk both her mom and dad they both told her that she had to relax. Her mother suggested maybe taking a walk along the hills or maybe even the beach and see what that did for her. Her father had suggested some music or a book. Giggling at his suggestions only because she knew how over protective he was. Then again not only was she his little girl but she was an only child. Unlike most in her family Claire didn't have any other siblings. Which is why she was spoiled until her cousin Yuuma came along.
Deciding to take her mom's beach idea she got off the phone before she did hearing her dad warn her to behave Claire laughed and told him that she would. Once off the phone she got changed into her black bikini, which was a little low cut on the top and bottom piece. She was sure her dad wouldn't approve since it made her already impressive cleavage be seen as well as her ass. Slipping on her pink sundress over it. Grabbing her black shawl to put over her, the girl grabbed her sunglasses as well as her bag. Packing it up with everything she was going to need in order to hang out at the beach. When she was finished Claire took a breath and slipped her brown sandals and locked up her dorm room. Heading out, luckily the campus wasn't too far from the beach.
Walking through town Claire enjoyed all the sights that were around. Noticing some people staring at her caused the dog demon to blush a bit. Clearing her throat she shook it off and kept walking. Picking up her pace a little bit. She was very shy and didn't like being around people too much. Too much staring or attention made her nervous. Seeing the beach coming up she gasped happily and picked up her pace even more until she was jogging. Seeing all the people Claire sighed softly under her breath. Crowded like she had thought. But she was going to make the best out of it. Finding a nice spot near one of the trees she set up her spot. Taking her towel out of her bag she set it up. Soon taking off her sundress to reveal her bathing suit. Her breasts bouncing a bit as the dress came off. Putting her hair up into a bun as she exhaled softly and sat down on her towel. Sprawling out her dress as she smiled and enjoyed the view. Wondering if she should get a little sun or swim first.
Her family is known to be rich and wealthy, her father does care for Anna, but he is the type that doesn’t show it, from when she was young for growing up. She has been kidnapped many times. Anna was still finding her school boring. Acting to get people to trust her and to not show her sadistic nature was the only fun thing. She could do here. Anna was also an only child. She still didn’t plan on telling anyone that she was a phoenix, letting people think she was only human was fun.
Anna, had an idea. She hasn’t been able to enjoy the sun for a while, and thought it would be a good idea to have some fun in the sun. Anna liked to wear long dresses, but it didn’t mean she was shy. Anna was wearing her white bikini that is shown of her cleavage being low cut on her top and bottom piece. With red lacing.
Anna would call someone on her phone, her father had people that worked for him here, and Anna was allowed to use them. “I wish for you to take me somewhere.” With that the person on the other side said to Anna. “As you wish miss. I will be there soon.” Anna would be carrying a bag, as her limousine came, with Anna having a smile. Everyone around the dorm was blushing seeing Anna admiring her beauty.
As the door was opened for her. “Thank you, for picking me up. I do hate to be a bother.” The man would say in reply to Anna. “Please don’t worry miss.” With that Anna would be inside as the door was closed with them driving away. The man driving would give a message from her father. “Miss, your father has given me a message to give you. He said he doesn’t like you having the academy thinking your human, your mother also said, that she has a modeling job for you here.”
Anna would smile as she looked out the window. “Please inform my mother, thank you for finding me a job. Also, please tell my father, that I just don’t what anybody to know about my dark feathers, I will be too shy.” With the man speaking once more. “Your father also gave me a message. Don’t fall for her lies. His words miss.” Anna would have a smile. “Aww, he’s no fun at all.” With that finally they reached the beach.
Anna stepped out giving a small bow to the driver. “Thank you again, Please have a safe trip back.” With that he was gone telling Anna. “It was my pleasure miss.” Anna walked around the beach with her getting much attention. She would not be far from Claire placing her towel down onto the sand, lying down, she was about seven feet away from her.

Enjoying the sun for a while Claire sighed with content. It really was a nice day. She really didn't know what to do first. The sun was getting a little warm so she finally decided to get up and check out the water. Hoping it wasn't too cold. This reminded her so when her parents would take her to the beach as a child. Smiling warmly the dog demon shook her head a bit. The loose bits of black hair blowing gently in the soft, warm breeze that brushed by her face. Walking across the warm, white sand she giggled to herself. Wiggling her toes feeling the sand between them she giggled more. Seeing the crystal blue water she picked up her pace a little bit. Feeling the heat around her shoulders and upper torso she ran her hand across her forehead she exhaled softly as she caught a few people staring at her it caused her to blush a little bit.
This was embarrassing. Thinking maybe she'd buy herself a one piece bathing suit so she could cover up a little bit more. Sure the eyes on her were nice, but not the sexy or predator looking stares she'd get. Especially off of others she could tell weren't human from their scents. Shaking the thought from her head she wasn't going to think of worst case scenario's or anything like that. Making it to the water Claire shivered a bit feeling the cold water hit her feet and soon her ankles. But after a while it felt nice. Walking a bit deeper into the water. Shivering a bit more she finally took a breath and quickly dove under the water. Feeling it hit her whole body, covering her skin she came up quick and flipped her head down. The bun exploding open behind her. Causing her long, black hair now shiny from being wet fell down. Down across her back and stuck to her wet shoulders and chest.
After a few minutes she finally got a little too chilly. Getting out of the water she walked back to her towel. Sitting back down she shivered a bit as she let the sun hit her again to warm her body back up. Looking over seeing another girl show up. Seeing the type of car Claire could tell that the girl certainly had money. Blinking a couple of times she soon tilted her head a bit. Sitting back a bit on the towel she smiled at the girl and giggled a bit. "Hello, nice day isn't it?" she said softly. Trying to be friendly and start a conversation. The girl did look younger then her. But she couldn't really tell if she was human or not. Shrugging it off for now Claire just shut her eyes and laid back on her towel. Sighing with content as she rested there to try and dry off and get a little bit more sun.
