Welcome to the supernatural creature's haven, Kinau. Kinau is a fictitious town on the O'ahu island of Hawaii. Why supernaturals have congregated in the island city is still unknown, but the inhabitants, human and supernatural alike, are learning to adjust to their new reality.
This site aims for a supernatural spin on a slice-of-life city, complete with an academy and college to ensure everyone has a place here.
Events
the valentines dance is open to all. staff will post a starting thread and you can post an entry or make a thread of your own. the dance will take place near the beach. its all outdoors with the dance floor being in large pavilion.
for those that show up without a date. fret not. we have a little sign up sheet for blind dates.
if you don't want your character to participate in the blind date, don't worry they can still be part of the dance.
apart from the dance there will be food/drinks and of course access to the beach.

friends
Mars is friendly, but secretive. It's fairly easy to become their friend, but not nearly as easy to get them to actually open up. One quick way to get them to become your friend is to ask them to do your makeup, even better is letting them do really weird makeup. They chatter a lot and despite their actual age they look and act childish. If you can deal with that then you can probably be friends with Mars, but if you want to get close to Mars then you might have to deal with their constant underlying anxiety. They fear a lot of things, but they would probably never admit that without a lot of understanding and trust. Mars could use a couple friends to say the least, whether it be work friends, school friends, or actual friends.
enemies
Enemies are something that Mars comes across quite easily. They don't often think before they acts and thus they can end up doing stupid things that get theirself and others into trouble. Their childish nature can also get on some people's nerves. They don't always try to specifically get on people's nerves, but the odd time they seek somebody out and decide that they just want to be annoying to them, for no reason other than they can. For these reasons, and perhaps many others that Mars can't control, the possibility for enemies is available. Perhaps there's some sort of competitive rivalry going on or perhaps you just hate them, any form of enemies is open and welcome.
lovers
While Mars is rather childish they are twenty and capable of feeling attraction towards others. They have small crushes on people from time to time, but wouldn't really act on their own emotions so it's kind of up to the over party to do anything about it. Since they look younger than they actually are most of the people who end up wanting to date them are children or want to date children, both being people that they avoid dating since they are twenty. However there are the few people, either in the midsection of how old Mars looks and how old they actually are, or the people who just don't mind that they look young, that Mars would be happy to have a relationship with. I'd be happy with most types of relationships as long at they make sense with how Mars is, who they might end up liking, and aren't total creepers.

“ Hey yo! Xan here! Imma come at you today with a few plot replies! the reason being is simple, i want to meet your cutie.. but i'm not sure which of mine to toss at you so imma give you a few options! Feel free to pick one, three or none. after all i have nine and i'm just start with three!
So imma start with Susu! Susumu Kouta! I have no idea about these two honestly but he is my college student so i thought, why the hell not? Susumu is a bit of a pervert, the local stalker. Yes he even has a ad out in the personal ads 'stalker for hire.' So im sure about everyone in college classes, or the ones he actually attends. Will know him or known of him. He is a manipulative bastard and knows how to word things to get what he wants. So having him meet your Mars be way to cute. He might poke at him for being so short. He might come off as a jerk, because he is, but Susumu is actually really friendly. Who knows they might actually like Susu! He's not a bad person, towards his friends, but he is a very deceiving person!
Yuuma is 38 years old! He looks like he is.. well nowhere near that! He has a child like appearance and a child like personality. So i can see the two actually doing pretty good together! Yuuma is a hyperactive little thing. he is always so friendly and happy. he may come off as Naive but the truth is he is just to go-lucky to actually think things through or be serious. Yuuma has many, many tattoos. All of which look rather weird. All are in red, a certain color red. He's very particular about his ink.. Anyways! I can see yuuma finding out he does make up just to have yours do a crazy design on him so he can go home and freak his husband out because, hey its Yuuma he loves being weird. And let me tell you he is a bit of a freak. So it may take a while to get used to him. He is the sweetest thing though!
Be warned he likes to cling to you and use your name more then anything so it may seem like he's talking in third person. 'Mars is so funny!' 'oooh look what MArs did! Mars is so good at this!'
“ Augustine, also known as Aggy. He is a top notch game designer. as of currently he is looking for people to make his game come to life! In other ways he is working on a game design for a big company. His brother, Basile, is making him costumes for the characters. No it isn't some cheap costumes that you can find in stores. They are all hand made to fit aggy's designs on his game. So he needs a make up artist to do their make up once the costumes are all put together!
So thats where your beauty falls into this whole mess! I can see aggy actually coming up to your baby and asking them if they are interested in doing make up for characters he is working on! Aggy is a major gammer so he will have designs he needs for his babies and i assure you, some are very out there so i think your baby might actually have fun! Aggy is a very nice boy, most the time. He is only ever mean or rude if you bother his brother. But i don't see yours doing that because they are, well i read his plot page! so if he's interested, Aggy will pay them of course! Unless they do it for free because they love make up! Let me know <3

Mars && Susumu
I feel like in the beginning Mars wouldn't be a big fan of Susumu and they might end up having a bit of an insult off where they just go back and forth. Eventually it might turn into some kind of weird friendship though. I definitely don't see this two getting along a whole lot in the beginning, but maybe when they actually know each other for a while they'll be pretty good friends.
Mars && Yuuma
Since Yuuma is a Cat Demon Mars might have a hard time relaxing around him, but since he also is very childish I think Mars would probably be much more open to not being incredibly nervous around him all the time. It might be the most awkward friendship ever with Yuuma just constantly scaring the living daylights out of Mars and them just giving a shaky thumbs up. Truthfully I think it could be really funny and they are always onboard for freaking out somebody's husband.
Mars && Augustine
Honestly offering Mars a job doing cool makeup is a fast track to getting on their good side. They would probably send poor Augustine messages at like three in the morning of photos with what they were thinking of doing for the makeup. Or just like random photos of different products being like 'we need this.' Just generally being way too excited about the makeup and never really shutting up about it.

Can i just start with... this is not the first time someone has said this, nor will it be the last. Yuuma is VERY good at scarring people. he scares his own children allot! So really, Yuuma is used to scarring others, rather its because : His tattoo's, his love for popping up on you, him walking on high places, or his personality. Being a half cat will be new but he will find it so interesting. I cant promise he wont cling to them, because i know he will. Thats how he is! But omg i'd love to see them interacting more then any because Yuuma is my precious babe.

Yuuma would bring Mars home just to scare his husband or freak him out because... thats what makes a happy marriage, Yuuma scarring the shit out of Tavi (Octavian) Hell if They was nervous around him Yuuma would slap them on the back. Imma be frank. If they called at 3am. He's make his little brother answer the phone because that boy loves talking to random people. He'd go back to sleep and make Basile take a message for him. So that would be a 'who are you?' for them. lmao. But totally, Aggy will get so excited when they come up with new designs, when they come up with fun new makeup ideas! He would practically be like 'here, try it on me!' if he doesn't have one of his models around at the moment and he'd be a very happy little demon because he'd get to see first hand how good they look!
P.s: I can easily start a thread any time for whoever you want or how many ever you want! I always want to say you should plot with Chikato Arary But where he's a total jerk, always 'get out my face' Type idk how that work?? but i love my little bully XD <3

Mars && Susumu
Yo I'm so down for them just being friends who constantly insult each other back and forth. They'd probably meet in the college hallways since I don't think they'd have any classes together, or maybe they would have some overlap in the cosmetology side of things and Susu's major, if he has one. Anyways yeah I see them just insulting each other back and forth and then Mars just giggling because they're a twenty year old child and a very strange friendship just grows from there. I'm okay with holding off on the thread for these two or just jumping right into it.
Mars && Yuuma
Mars will never admit to being scared of anything so of course they would be friends with Yuuma despite being terrified of him and probably even for him. Generally Mars will just always be scared but will never admit to it. Also I love the idea of Yuuma just stating that he wouldn't harm them... unless his father told him to, and Mars just being like, wait what was that last part. So yeah these two really have to meet and have an amazingly awkward friendship and freak out Yuuma's husband and generally just have a good and fun friendship. These two children who are actually adults should really meet soon.
Mars && Augustine
Honestly Mars would not even notice being handed off to his brother at three in the morning. They would just go on talking as if nothing was different. Also if Augustine even let Mars anywhere near his face with makeup they would do their face like half and half with two variations of one look and then never stop asking to try a new variation of the same look. Yeah I feel like these two would get along if only because of how excited they both are for the creating of this project, Mars more for the makeup part, but eventually they'd probably be excited for it all.

Chikato is an ex gang member. He has a very foul mouth and a short temper on top of that. He is very violent and hates listening to others which expkains why he failed his senior year

I have no clue where we should have either Mars and Yuuma meet or Augustine and Mars meet. I really just don't know. Perhaps Mars and Augustine could meet at like a sort of job interview or mars is posting a flyer for their makeup services or something??? But Mars and Yuuma could literally meet anywhere and I'd be cool with it. I also don't mind who makes either thread, but I'm going to bed for the night and then I have school so if in the next twelve hours you are going to be on then it might be easier if you made them, but of course if you don't mind waiting then I'd be happy to make one. Really your choice. We could probably also move this to pm as well just to make things easier, but yeah I have to sleep for now.
