Welcome to the supernatural creature's haven, Kinau. Kinau is a fictitious town on the O'ahu island of Hawaii. Why supernaturals have congregated in the island city is still unknown, but the inhabitants, human and supernatural alike, are learning to adjust to their new reality.
This site aims for a supernatural spin on a slice-of-life city, complete with an academy and college to ensure everyone has a place here.
Events
the valentines dance is open to all. staff will post a starting thread and you can post an entry or make a thread of your own. the dance will take place near the beach. its all outdoors with the dance floor being in large pavilion.
for those that show up without a date. fret not. we have a little sign up sheet for blind dates.
if you don't want your character to participate in the blind date, don't worry they can still be part of the dance.
apart from the dance there will be food/drinks and of course access to the beach.

01/29 we have a new skin! a new species and are now accepting gradeschoolers incase anyone feels like making younger characters!
Siran was raised by a single mother. She worked hard and instilled this into her daughter as well. As a child, she was always anxious seemingly without cause. This concerned her mother, who tried very hard to help ease her anxiety, eventually helping her develop a routine for herself. While it did help, it also damaged a lot of possible relationships and friendships for her. As long as she kept to her schedule, she felt stable. As she grew she found a strong desire to help others who may have similar problems and when she grew up, she attended college to become a therapist. Having recently graduated, she began to job hunt, finally landing one in Kinau. The move caused her a lot of worry, and she spent the first few weeks trying to adjust. While she enjoys the new city, and is hopeful to make friends, she has trouble swaying from her norm. It's something she hopes to overcome eventually.
A dragon as poisonous as Belladonna, Amaya has lived for centuries on end. Originally a reclusive village girl who hid her draconic heritage, she rose up in class and power upon becoming a mistress of a lord. However she was soon found out as a dragon, starting the chain of her marrying, killing, and fleeing her husbands. She now resides in Kinau as a shop keeper, partially free from persecution -- she still has the sins of murder and adultery on her back.
Kaito is a flirtatious merfolk shifter that enjoys the company of others. He's a social butterfly and is unafraid to strike up a conversation with some random person. His goal in life is to become a licenced psychiatrist and work to improve people's mental health.
Chikato is an ex gang member. He has a very foul mouth and a short temper on top of that. He is very violent and hates listening to others which expkains why he failed his senior year
He's a game designer that comes off as a tsundere and often seen around a big crowd of people. Augustine dots over his brother and is rarely ever seen without his brother.
She is a huge daddy's girl that is. Currently co-captain of the volleyball team. She loves getting her way and making others out to be the bad guy. She dreams of going to France.
