When it comes to friends, Slade doesn't have too many due to his quiet, keep to himself nature alongside his cynicism. Those who would desire to be called a friend best remember that Slade is more of a listener than a talker, especially when it comes to personal matters. Slade's a private person, thus he does not talk about himself or family very often, thus he doesn't often spend his time with nosy people. When he does spend time with people, Slade usually prefers those who are adventurous and are willing to take a few risks.

Usually Slade is not out looking for enemies, but as we all know things happen. There are the more common ways to make him your enemy, like threatening those he cares about. Naturally, Slade doesn't like to be around people who've proven to be driven by self-interest or are merely just bad people. For the most part, Slade is a pretty good guy, and as the story often goes, good and bad are often enemies. He often hates people who use his mortal enemy, spiders, against him.

Romance isn't Slade's strong suit, mostly because he has difficulties talking about himself. Heck, this is one of the very few things that Slade gets nervous about. As said previously, Slade likes to keep to himself and remain quiet, so what makes him nervous? Public displays of affection towards him and opening up, that's what. He doesn't like the attention and finds that it usually ends up breaking his placid look by making him embarrassed. For the longest time, Slade hasn't been one to share, thus the idea of sharing can make him a bit nervous. His life has been pretty average, but the idea of possibly having to explain his relationship with his mother is what often bothers him. Those who are cowardly or have no sense of adventure don't interest Slade, however, what bothers him the most are people who coddle him and act overly protective. Then what does he like you may ask? Slade likes adventurous people who can take a risk and understand that he is a private person.

Since Slade does work as a bodyguard, I thought it would be a good idea to place this here. Usually, Slade will work for just about anyone, it's basically as long as they're not a villain. Remember, Slade's a good guy here, however, that doesn't mean he's psychic. If he isn't aware of the crimes someone is committing, then chances are they're just another client. This can coincide with the other categories since this can work as a reason they met your character.
