Welcome to the supernatural creature's haven, Kinau. Kinau is a fictitious town on the O'ahu island of Hawaii. Why supernaturals have congregated in the island city is still unknown, but the inhabitants, human and supernatural alike, are learning to adjust to their new reality.
This site aims for a supernatural spin on a slice-of-life city, complete with an academy and college to ensure everyone has a place here.

Being dead was boring, and Fray was a testament of this. They had been hanging around as a spirit for far too long and now everything was just the same to them. They shrugged as they made their way up to the cliffs. Today would be a solitary day. They hadn't yet been to the cliffs in their time staying in Kinau and they weren't overly excited to go there now, but it was something that would be slightly different than other things since they had never been around. They looked at the trees around them as they went towards where the cliffs were located. As they moved they wrote.
Another day and still I march forward. At this moment quite literally, as I've decided to travel to the cliffs on this Hawaiian island. I'm not very fond of scenery as it often is similar to things I have seen a thousand times before. I do not enjoy things I have seen a thousand times before, which ends up being a lot. Perhaps I should start haunting old manors and watching the people being terrified of me. That would be new experience, but the movies that are out in these times have beat me to it. It's as if I'll never find anything new, but perhaps these cliffs will bring about some amazing revelation for me. Anything's possible right?
Fray groaned as they looked up from their writing. They wanted to believe that something magical would happen at these cliffs and suddenly their whole world would change, but it just wasn't likely. They had wandered the earth for eight hundred and seventy eight years. There was nothing new left to excite them. "Ma vie est trop ennuyeuse." They grumbled as they finally made it to the base of the cliffs. They looked up and realized that they had gone the wrong way. They had meant to be at the tops of the cliffs. Fray shrugged, this might as well be how their day went.
They rolled their eyes and started floating up alongside the face of the cliff. They watched the face of rock move past them as they did. If Fray had gone the right way then they could be looking out across the things beneath this cliff instead of scaling it. There were a million things they could be doing instead of scaling this cliff, but there they were. Finally they arrived where they had originally planned on being.
Fray sat down and started writing again, not even bothering to look out over the view. Their legs dangled as they wrote.
So I've made it to the cliffs that were meant to change my lives and it seems as if they are exceedingly uninspiring. I made a wrong turn along the way and ended up the bottom of the cliff. It wasn't the best memory moment for me, but I made, scaled it, and now I'm here. It's entirely uninteresting.
They looked up out over the scenery and sighed. They closed their writing book and set it aside as they gazed at the nature.
here was a severe lack of things for Slade to do on such a wonderful day. He'd done everything he had to do, hopefully since his forgetfully tendencies could have left out a dozen of tasks. However, none of those mattered at the current moment all because Slade had decided it was best to head down one of the old hiking trails that his father had taken him down. Despite walking down the beaten dirt paths plenty of times, the nature, creatures, sounds, et cetera never seemed to grow old. The old trail led up to the cliffs, a place that held a breathtakingly wonderful view that allowed people to see for miles.
An azure sky dotted with puffy white clouds stretching over an endless horizon and endless rows of tall, green trees stretching upwards towards that splendid sky was truly beautiful. Unfortunately, Slade hadn't arrived to the top of the cliffs quite yet. His yellow eyes scanned the scenery around him; even in the midst of the wilderness someone had to remain alert to make certain nothing would sneak up on him. For the most part it had become a habit, Slade often found himself checking over his surroundings in the safest of places. Naturally, Slade's eyes only caught the various pieces of nature that infested along the path that would create a rather pleasurable walk.
Slade glanced upwards for a moment, finding that the sun was a large, bright circle that was near its peak. Quietly, Slade released an exasperated sigh, it was likely that he had a few text messages from his mother. Only for a moment did Slade debate digging his phone out to check, but he nearing the top of the cliffs and the exquisite view that awaited him atop them. Certainly waiting a little longer to receive a text message from him wasn't the end of the world, thus, Slade continued hiking up the beaten path. He'd long grown use to the rough trails and was sure-footed during the remainder of his walk towards the top. It was a useful thing to become use to considering it allowed him to walk up the trail with ease.
Soon Slade reached the top of path and the wondrous scenery that stretched out to the beyond, however, that wasn't the thing that Slade noticed initially. Sitting on the edge of the cliff was a person with dark hair. They seemed to be jotting down something in a book from what Slade could tell from his angle. They soon set the book aside, presumably to enjoy the scenery. In all honesty, Slade hadn't expected anybody to be at the cliffs, but anything was possible and a majority of the supernatural creatures in Kinau served as proof to that. Slade approached them slowly, finding it unlikely that they would be a threat.
"Hey, what are'ya doing?" he asked as he approached them. His voice was calm, tuning in more on the quiet side as it commonly did. Like most people, Slade couldn't help, but to be curious. Slade glanced up, looking at the wide stretch of cloud speckled sky and trees poking up from below. "Am I right to guess that you're enjoying the scenery?" Slade added after a quick glance.
The scenery was one of the reasons why Slade enjoyed coming to the cliffs, that in the wonderful sense of adventure that accompanied the beauty. Despite living in Kinau for more than half of his life, Slade never seemed to grow tired of the nature.
