She was born in London, her mother named her after her grandmother. Vashti grew up with a nanny because her parents were always out of town. She had her first shift when she had turned thirteen. Turning into a mouse had scared her at first but the more often it happened the easier it was to learn to control. Because she had nanny's coming and going so often her parents came home to spend time with their daughter, coming to terms that she wasn't completely human.

The plot to abandon her had crossed their mind but they decided it would be much easier to do it outside the country, so they left for Hawaii. The goal was to stay there for two weeks, but they only stayed a week in a half, leaving only a note explaining to their daughter that she was on her own now. She spent the last few nights in the hotel room, planning on how she would make a living for herself. Attending school came to mind but she would have to find a way to pay to get enrolled, so getting a job was a necessary as well. She started practicing her shifting into other animals but that required her to see them, either in real life or an image from a source.

She became a magician, doing performances on the street to earn some cash as she tried making a living for herself. On the side she would shift into a mouse and steal food so that she wouldn't starve. The government helped her qualify for benefits so that she would be able to use the money she earned for food and clothing well the school provided the classes and dorm. She met a boy her freshman year and has been keeping an eye on him since, first a crush that turns into something much much more. As of currently she has only stolen if she really badly needs something, mostly food.

She is hypocrite when it comes to alcohol, telling you no and drinking it herself. She only steals when she needs the money for it, but as of lately she only steals from time to time.
