My parents didn't come from the area that we now call home, you see my father is an an italian from the Tyrrhenian Sea, and I do actually mean he is from the sea. Both my parents are what you would call Merfolk, which yes does mean that I am one as well. My father Thierry Alvez is a red tailed merman, very strict and set in his ways but let me tell you that he melted from my mother. Sirin Kirigaya was my mother's maiden name before she married my father, she was from the East China Sea and to be honest they met by chance. My mother got caught in a fisherman's net on her way here to visit my aunt Shizuya, it just so happened that my father was nearby to rescue her not only before she was discovered but also before she could be injured. It truely was love at first sight for them, my father offered to occompany her the rest of the way as she had actually traveled in the wrong direction. Silly mother, she never was good with her sense of direction and is always getting lost, father really should put a gps tracker on her fin.

Now while here in Hawaii I was concieved thankfully they decided to stay here until I was born. Or at least thats what they told themselves but really they never left. We've taken a few trips back to my mothers home in the East Chine Sea, but sadly mom and dad still don't think I can handle a trip to the mediterranean just yet. Now I mentioned my father is a red fined merman but I neglected to mention that I do not take after him in coloration or either my human half or my tail. I'm really the spitting image of my mother purple tail and all.

I would say that I have done pretty well in school all my life though its all thanks to my photographic memory a gift from my father rather than my mother. I've even managed to pull off being the vice president for the past two years, something I can say I am rather proud of. My father and mother are complete and total opposites, dad is a complete stick in the mud wher as mom is ditzy and silly. And i'm a complete and total mix of the two. My parents aren't really into socializing with anyone outside of our species but I don't mind others even if I chose not to allow others to know what I am. So what if people think i'm a little strange that I won't be seen in the rain or go to the beach even though we live in hawaii. Water and me don't really mix well, don't get me wrong I love the water and I love to swim but when water touches my legs they don't stay as legs anymore and poof there's a set of fins instead of feet. Well I better go and scurry off to class thanks for the chat mr mysterious reporter person!
