Octavian Melikov was born December first in Nizhnevartovsk, Russia, along with his twin brother, Aleksi. The two had a fairly typical childhood- the family was well-off financially, having inherited the dog breeding business of Karolek Melikov. Though, in time, the allure of the family business wore off, and Octavian's parents pursued other ambitions, leaving Aleksi and Tavian to take over.

When the boys turned thirteen they finally convinced their parents that they were too busy with school and extracurricular activities. For Aleksi it was sports, but for Tavian it was piano. Their parents relented and invited the low-on-his luck younger Melikov son- the twin's uncle. Their uncle brought along their cousin, a boy three years older than the twins.

From the start the twins knew how big of a mistake they'd made. Their cousin seemed obsessed with them. The boys formed a pact, agreeing never to leave the other alone. For months they tread carefully, tolerating the older male's affections in stride.

The boys were sixteen when they realized why their "bad feelings" were justified. It was a fairly typical afternoon, but it was the afternoon Tavian had convinced himself his cousin wasn't that bad. He'd left school without Aleksi, only to find no one at home except his cousin. His cousin took the opportunity, and the boys learned his secret: he wasn't human any longer, he'd become a werewolf. And, with a bite on the back of his hand to prove it, so had Tavian.

The transformation prompted life decision two: the twins were moving to Japan. It was 'for school' and because it was an incredible opportunity. Their parents relented, sending them off with the assumption that it'd be a few years. Tavian got a job as a waiter, rented a terrible apartment with his brother, and made a life for himself. Aleksi would only stay with him six months before following his own whims doing who-knows-what, but Tavi didn't mind being alone as he adjusted to being a werewolf.

At eighteen, the biggest change of all transpired. During a trip to an amusement park Tavi met the boy he would marry: Yuuma Ornsparre. The two became friends first. There was a strange magnetism, an 'opposites attract' quality to their relationship, and of course Tavi's crush on the attractive boy. A few months later Tavi was begging the boy to live with him, willing to promise him the world if he'd just call that awful apartment home.

Marriage and babies- three babies, to be exact- followed next in their relationship. A new sort of devotion took hold: no longer was Yuuma just the incredibly attractive, cheerful companion. He became Octavian's partner in everything. Even when they disagreed or handled different aspects of day-to-day life, Octavian and Yuuma seemed to be in sync with each other. Nights spent together like the teenagers they were became nights spent "camping" on their living room floor with triplets, content knowing there was no where else they'd rather be as they held the other close.

Octavian Melikov had never been happier. Life was truly perfect. At least, it was until the triplets hit teenage years. Life was still good, but Octavian had a new set of worries to contend with. Balancing them and remembering the carefree days he spent with Yuuma two decades ago is his new reality. The only bright side being that soon enough, with the triplets turning eighteen and moving out, Octavian will again have the love of his life and an empty house.
