Hachikō can be a bit... well, erm... materialistic. Born into privilege and wealth, he's accustomed to his selfish behaviors being accepted. As a result, considering the needs and feelings of others isn't quite as instinctual for him as it is for many others.

Hachi is often opinionated, especially about photography, and judgmental about everything, particularly people, as if living requires forming an opinion on everything.

On the other hand, he was raised to be respectful, especially to his elders. He's also reserved as a general disposition, saving his anger and honesty for private conversations with Ezra.

But Hachi wants to be friendly. He tries to be. Pushing past his let's-not-be-noticed instincts, he's fairly talkative and assertive with others when the mood strikes him. Perhaps even bossy.

Hachi's also inquisitive, too. He's always ready to see what the world has to offer him. Though, that doesn't really translate into intelligence. Contrary to that, he only cares about two academic things: philosophical thought, and photography. Otherwise the boy's discipline and hard work to impress his father are the only reasons he's made it through high school thus far.

Hachikō is the only child of wealthy business man, Taro Reizei. Hachi didn't have to worry about much growing up. He had his own nanny who he adored, and a live-in playmate that wasn't much younger than he was.
