personality
Alise...definitely fits the stereotype of all bunnies being shy little critters. Alise is a shy and somewhat sickly little thing who struggles in even the most basic conversations with others. It's not that she doesn't like being sociable - it's the exact opposite. It's just that she's so nervous of others - perhaps even scared of some - that she doesn't know how to. She'll sometimes try and force herself into social situations, and in a sudden burst of confidence, walk straight up to the person...Only to forget any and everything she was going to say, and thus only eeping out a little, "hi," before scuttling off. It's honestly a bit sad, considering the female loves being around people and has the intentional to be one of those 'social butterflies.' It honestly seems as though Alise is almost afraid to connect with others and let people become more than just acquaintances. Ironically enough, if she does manage to make a conversation with someone, they will quicly notice that Alise is rather socially awkward. She'll try to uphold a conversation only to realize that she really does lack the skills to do so. Stumbling over her words to freaking out should she believe she's said something wrong to even pathetic attempts to act 'cool' - Alise does it all.
Alise is also easily frightened. Even if she desires to be tougher, it just...doesn't work.
Alise is passive. She'll apologize for nothing and typically won't stick up to herself it it calls for it. Why someone would even want to mess with this quiet cutie is beyond even her understanding. However, don't be alarmed. Very rarely does Alise hold grudges. She's forgiving to the point that one wants to scream at her to 'grow a backbone'.
However, one must understand that she is a very sensitive and emotion oriented person {otherwise known as empathetic}. It's not exactly a challenge to make her cry, and, much to her dismay, she tends to wear her emotions on her sleeve. Still, she's very keen in paying attention to others emotions, which can in turn affect her own. Really, if someone else starts crying, she might go huddle next to them and start crying herself or worry herself sick for them - which points to the fact that Alise is a good friend. Willing to put someone else before herself and loyal, the female's friendship is a diamond among coal. Of course...attaining her friendship is the only problem.
Which brings us to another point. Despite all her obvious flaws, Alise truly is a warmhearted person. She tries to keep a cheerful outlook on things and rarely does the kind female ever let things get her down too much. Alise is a pretty patient person whose calm temper rarely wavers. Honestly, it's more common to see her cry than her screaming at someone. Alise is an understanding person, to which she's not one to judge someone without knowing them.
Alise is a very intelligent and a rather studious person. She'd be the one to not attend a party in favor of studying on a Friday night. She...honestly fits the description of a nerd. Despite being intelligent, she's rather oblivious to certain 'everyday' knowledge things. In simple - she's not very street smart. She can be a bit of a buzzkill as well, such as applying logic to jokes or even innuendos flying right over her head.
As stated before, Alise is a rather sickly person, which may explain her somewhat sheltered life. Still, she never seems to speak of her troubles or pain to other, and when asked if she's alright, she'll simply smile and reply, "of course, please don't worry about me!"
history
Alise has a rather simple history. Born to a rather poor family outside of Hawaii & within the states, Alise admittedly didn't know her parents as they gave her up at an early age. Living within an orphanage was difficult for the young rabbit girl. Others would pull on her ears or try or try and forcibly feed her carrots to straight up avoiding the girl. Often she was passed on for adoption due to one - how sickly she was {and thus the money it would take to care for her} and two because...well, she wasn't a human. As she got older, she ended up in the hospital more than at the orphanage, and this often caused the girl to wind up alone as she sat there in that white room. This was where Alise took to gardening and tending to plants as a hobby. As sad as it was, the female was often talk to the plants, even if she couldn't hear them back. As she got older and her health issues got lesser to the point where she was no longer needed to stay within the hospital. Returning to the orphanage, Alise found herself nicknamed as the 'sickly rabbit' or sometimes even the 'problem child' due to her 'special needs'.
At the age of 15, she received word of distant relatives that lived in Hawaii. With the orphanage helping in funding her travels, she found herself in Kinau, A'hu. Going there, she ended up finding her grandmother there, a very old Usagimimi. Her grandmother also owned a herb shop for both medicines and tea named 'Rabbit's Foot'. There, Alise lived with her grandmother until, recently, her grandmother passed away. Alise now takes care of the shop alone as well as lives there in the upper component of the building.
misc.
- Alise's rabbit ears as fluffy and floppy, being a mixture of white and black {spotted}. Her fluffy little tail is white. As a rabbit, she is a lop-eared little rabbit with a notably pink nose and a white and black
- Alise is allergic to carrots.
- Alise has never had a boyfriend before. She's never kissed anyone before. Hell, she's only held hands with guys a few times. Hugging one in a less than friendly way is enough to make this rabbit child faint. So, have fun.
- She wears glasses.
- Alise has a teddy bear in her room named 'Mr Fluffington'.
- She's a horrible cook. As in a sort of 'don't let her near stoves' sort of cookie. Hence why she usually just ears microwave things or salads.
