CYBORGS

Cyborgs are- typically- augmented humanoid beings that were created to restore previously lost function to the individual in question. Their existence, primitive as it may have been by modern standards, dates back to the 1800's. Since then the practice of augmentation has evolved with technology. Notably, cyborgs vary from robots in that cyborgs are entirely biological beings- usually mammals- prior to augmentation opposed to being entirely mechanical beings.


The augmented beings- cyborgs- can look as human or as animatronic as desired, or possess physical features that are unnatural to humans. But cyborgs must possess some biological material. Cyborgs may have features such as cat ears, tails, animalistic teeth ... Whatever their appearance, at their core the technological components infused into their bodies are what make cyborgs a class of their own. However, aesthetics aside, cyborgs are limited by the biological elements that remain as well as the technological limitations.
